Built on the myth that Argentines descend from ships, racism has gone unnoticed as a phenomenon. However, we maintain that it is present in everyday exchanges and state practices. What are the characteristics of racism on our margins? What universe of meanings does the "black" stigma represent in Argentina? Who are the "blacks" turned into police labor? Finally, we will take Human Rights as a toolbox that can allow emancipation and the fight against the hegemonic construction that underestimates and stratifies other humans. Rights are not granted but conquered in social struggles. Only with an understanding of complex social phenomena can we confront those who, under the cover of security, only want our freedom. En el presente artículo intentaremos analizar el racismo en Argentina. Construido bajo el mito de que los argentinos descendemos de los barcos, el racismo ha pasado desapercibido como fenómeno. Sin embargo, sostenemos que está presente en los intercambios cotidianos y en las prácticas estatales. ¿Cuáles son las características del racismo en nuestro margen? ¿Qué universo de sentidos representa el estigma "negro" en Argentina? ¿Quiénes son los “negros” convertidos en mano de obra policial?. Por último, tomaremos los Derechos Humanos como una caja de herramientas que pueden permitir la emancipación y la lucha contra la construcción hegemónica que subestima y estratifica a otros humanos. Los derechos no se otorgan sino que se conquistan en luchas sociales. Sólo con la comprensión de los complejos fenómenos sociales podemos hacer frente a quienes, amparados en la seguridad, solo quieren nuestra libertad. Neste artigo vamos tentar analisar o racismo na Argentina. Construído sobre o mito de que os argentinos descendem de navios, o racismo passou despercebido como um fenómeno. Quais são as características do racismo à nossa margem? Que universo de significados representa o estigma do "negro" na Argentina? Quem são os "negros" transformados em trabalho policial? Finalmente, tomaremos os direitos humanos como uma caixa de ferramentas que pode permitir a emancipação e a luta contra a construção hegemónica que subestima e estratifica outros seres humanos. Os direitos não são concedidos, mas conquistados em lutas sociais. Só com uma compreensão dos fenómenos sociais complexos poderemos confrontar aqueles que, a coberto da segurança, só querem a nossa liberdade Facultad de Filosofía y Humanidades.
