We are pleased to present the material that makes up this publication as part of the proposal prepared by the Faculty to receive its entrants. The experience that began seven years ago, when Panels on Human Rights were incorporated into the Nivelation Course programme with speakers specially invited to address these issues in a broad and pluralistic manner, is today reflected in the writing; through the various articles it collects and systematises contributions that are solidly based on knowledge and practices deployed in various academic areas, or that have emerged from the work of social organisations that are recognised for their careers and contributions in this field. Without a doubt, the fact that the problem of "human rights" is part of the content with which the studies are initiated constitutes an institutional definition of the social, academic and political sense with which this academic unit summons to transit the formation and to participate in the university life. It is an invitation to be part of a collective and open construction, developed over the years in the Faculty, around shared concerns within it and linked to those of other actors, movements and social organizations, with whom we walk towards the expansion of spaces for debate and concrete work, as active partners in the strengthening of rights and their social recognition. |

Nos complace presentar el material que integra esta publicación en el marco de la propuesta elaborada por la Facultad para recibir a sus ingresantes. La experiencia iniciada hace siete años, al incorporar Paneles sobre Derechos Humanos en la programación del Curso de Nivelación con expositores especialmente convocados para abordar estas temáticas en forma amplia y plural, hoy se plasma en la escritura; a través de los diversos artículos recoge y sistematiza aportes sólidamente fundados en conocimientos y prácticas desplegadas en diversas áreas académicas, o surgidas en el hacer de organizaciones sociales reconocidas por sus trayectorias y contribuciones en este campo . Sin duda, el hecho de que la problemática de “derechos humanos” sea parte de los contenidos con los que se inician los estudios constituye una definición institucional acerca del sentido social, académico y político con que esta unidad académica convoca a transitar la formación y a participar de la vida universitaria. Invita a ser parte de una construcción colectiva y abierta, gestada a lo largo de los años en la Facultad, en torno a preocupaciones compartidas en su seno y anudadas a las de otros actores, a movimientos y organizaciones sociales, junto a quienes caminamos hacia la ampliación de espacios de debate y de trabajo concreto, como copartícipes activos en el fortalecimiento de los derechos y su reconocimiento social. Temos o prazer de apresentar o material que compõe esta publicação como parte da proposta elaborada pela Faculdade para receber os seus candidatos. A experiência iniciada há sete anos, quando os Painéis de Direitos Humanos foram incorporados no programa do Curso de Nivelamento com oradores especialmente convidados a abordar estas questões de forma ampla e pluralista, está hoje reflectida na escrita; através dos vários artigos que recolhe e sistematiza contribuições solidamente baseadas em conhecimentos e práticas desenvolvidas em várias áreas académicas, ou que emergiram do trabalho de organizações sociais que são reconhecidas pelas suas carreiras e contribuições neste domínio. Sem dúvida, o facto de o problema dos "direitos humanos" fazer parte do conteúdo com que os estudos são iniciados constitui uma definição institucional do sentido social, académico e político com que esta unidade académica convoca para transitar a formação e para participar na vida universitária. É um convite a fazer parte de uma construção colectiva e aberta, desenvolvida ao longo dos anos na Faculdade, em torno de preocupações partilhadas dentro dela e ligadas às de outros actores, movimentos e organizações sociais, com os quais caminhamos para a expansão de espaços de debate e trabalho concreto, como parceiros activos no reforço dos direitos e do seu reconhecimento social.
