Mobile phones and the WhatsApp application are widely used as a means of communication; however, in the university environment, the application is not recognized as an official means of communication nor as an ICT resource, although it cannot be denied how useful it might be to launch an educational innovation. The current experience was aimed at providing an account of the use of the device to aid the teaching-learning process. The participants were 3 educators and a total of 58 students of the Nursing Licentiate Course belonging to the Dean Funes branch in the province of Córdoba. The participants were told to create a WhatsApp group chat for the Nursing in Mental Health course, 1986 curriculum, which was taught during the second term of the year 2020. The proposal was carried out in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic and, thus, educators considered that the teaching-learning process is complemented by the functions of mobile phones and WhatsApp, which are integrated to the collaborative processes of communication and learning; therefore, the transfer of knowledge is facilitated through ICT, also taking into account that WhatsApp is a universal, free, accessible and personal application. The students who participated in the experience were between 23 and 53 years old. The group did not change from the beginning of the course up to the end of the academic year. The main questions were related to the practical experience during the holistic interview, to integrated practical assignments on the logbook and, to a lesser extent, to specific aspects of administrative matters, such as the criteria to pass the course. |

El uso del teléfono móvil y la aplicación WhatsApp, es utilizado de forma masiva como medio de comunicación; no obstante, en el medio universitario, aún no es reconocido como un medio oficial de comunicación, menos aún como un recurso de las TIC. Sin embargo, no pueden negarse sus bondades para iniciar innovación educativa. La presente experiencia tuvo como propósito dar cuenta del uso del dispositivo en beneficio del proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje. Los participantes fueron tres tutores y un total de 58 estudiantes de la carrera de Licenciatura en Enfermería, pertenecientes a la sede Deán Funes de la Provincia de Córdoba, a quienes se les propone la creación de un grupo de WhatsApp para la asignatura de Enfermería en Salud mental plan 86, la cual es impartida durante el segundo cuatrimestre del año 2020. La propuesta se enmarca en contexto de pandemia por Covid 19; por tanto, los tutores concibieron que el proceso de enseñanza- aprendizaje se complementa con las funciones de teléfono móvil y dicha aplicación integrada a los procesos de comunicación y aprendizaje colaborativo facilitando la transferencia de conocimiento mediante TIC por ser una aplicación de uso universal, gratuita, asequible y personal. El grupo de participantes estuvo integrado por estudiantes de edades comprendidas entre los 23 y los 53 años y se mantuvo desde el inicio de la asignatura hasta terminar el período lectivo. Las principales consultas fueron con relación a experiencia práctica durante la entrevista holística, trabajos prácticos integradores referidos a la bitácora y, en menor medida, aspectos específicos sobre cuestiones administrativas, como requisitos para regularizar la materia. O uso do celular e do aplicativo WhatsApp é utilizado massivamente como meio de comunicação, porém, no ambiente universitário, ainda não é reconhecido como meio oficial de comunicação, muito menos como recurso de TIC, sem conteudo, seus benefícios. para iniciar a inovação educacional não pode ser negada. O objetivo dessa experiência foi dar conta do uso do dispositivo em benefício do processo de ensino-aprendizagem. Os participantes foram três tutores e um total de 58 alunos do curso de graduação em Enfermagem, pertencentes ao campus Reitor Funes, na província de Córdoba, aos quais foi proposta a criação de um grupo de WhatsApp para a disciplina de Enfermagem em Saúde Mental. plano 86, que é ministrado durante o segundo trimestre de 2020. A proposta enquadra-se no contexto da pandemia Covid 19, pelo que os tutores conceberam que o processo de ensino aprendizagem seja complementado pelas funções do telemóvel e a referida aplicação integrada nos processos de comunicação e aprendizagem colaborativa, facilitando a transferência de conhecimento através das TIC, por ser uma aplicação universal, gratuita, acessível e pessoal. Foi composto por alunos com idades entre 23 e 53 anos. O grupo permaneceu desde o início da disciplina até o final do período letivo.
