ABSTRACTIntroduction: The choosing of a university course of studies involves multiple difficulties such as academic and personal ones and interferes with the students’ health and well-being due to emotional, cultural and developmental characteristics. At present time, the Nursing Licentiate Course at the National University of Córdoba has been in great demand and, thus, the number of students at the introductory course has increased, signaling the introduction of the image of the male student to the course. This fact has generated the restructuring of nursing thought for professionals, educators, patients and for the interdisciplinary team. Objective: To determine the aspects of motivation that influence the choosing of the Nursing Course of new studentsof the National University of Córdoba in the year 2019. Material and Methods: The study was descriptive, comparative and cross-sectional. The population was composed of the new students of the 2019 course, (n=364). Instrument: Self-administered questionnaire. Results: 32 % of the students are between 21 and 40 years of age. The prevalent gender is the female one with 71 %. Intrinsic dimensions: The need for well-being is mostly chosen by 100 %. Obtaining a university degree displayed 67% in men and 80% in women. Self-efficacy and self-esteem displayed 100 %; regarding the personal and family experiences, women showed 79 %, while men displayed 75 %. The extrinsic dimensions: the need for self-improvement and recognition of the student image displays 76% in women and 33% in men. The work incentive shows 100%. The economic incentive displays 58 % for men and 48 % for women. Discussion and Conclusion: After comparing the intrinsic and extrinsic aspects of motivation in men and women, it was observed that most of the students feel identified with various subdimensions and indicators since they are active participants in the learning process. Marshall Reeve (2010) claims that the incentives always precede behavior and, in doing so, they create in the person an expectation that attractive or unattractive consequences are forthcoming. |

Introducción: la elección de una carrera universitaria acarrea una multiplicidad de dificultades tanto académicas como personales, dificulta la salud y bienestar de los alumnos debido a las características emocionales, culturales y de desarrollo. Actualmente, la Licenciatura en Enfermería en la Universidad Nacional de Córdoba, ha tenido una gran demanda, viéndose un aumento en el número de alumnos en el ciclo de ingreso; en el cual se percibe que existe la incorporación de la imagen del sexo masculino a la carrera. Esto ha generado una reestructuración del pensamiento enfermero tanto en los profesionales como en los docentes, pacientes y el equipo interdisciplinario. Objetivo: determinar cuáles son los aspectos de la motivación que en la elección de la carrera de enfermería de ingresantes a la Escuela de Enfermería de la Universidad Nacional de Córdoba en el año 2019. Material y métodos: el estudio fue descriptivo y comparativo de corte transversal. La población fueron los ingresantes a la carrera, año 2019, (n=364). Instrumento, cuestionario auto administrado. Resultados: La edad el 32% de estudiantes ronda entre los 21 y 40 años. El sexo que más prevalece es el femenino con 71%. Las dimensiones intrínsecas, la necesidad de bienestar es de mayor elección con un 100%, la obtención de un título universitario fue un 67% en hombres y 80% en mujeres. La autoeficacia y autoestima corresponde a un 100%, y en las experiencias personales y familiares de mayor elección son de mujeres con 79%, mientras que en hombres es del 75%. Las dimensiones extrínsecas la necesidad de superación y de reconocimiento de la imagen del estudiante corresponde un 76% en mujeres y un 33% en hombres, el incentivo laboral corresponde un 100%, el incentivo económico un 58% para hombres y 48% mujeres. Discusión Conclusión: una comparación entre los aspectos de la motivación intrínsecas y extrínsecas, tanto en los hombres como mujeres, la mayoría de los estudiantes se sienten identificados con varias sub dimensiones e indicadores, ya que ellos son participantes activos en el proceso de formación. Marshall Revee (2010) afirma que: “Los incentivos siempre proceden un comportamiento y al hacerlo crean en la persona una expectativa de que está próxima una consecuencia ya sea atractiva o desagradable”. RESUMO Introdução: a escolha pela carreira universitária acarreta uma multiplicidade de dificuldades acadêmicas e pessoais, prejudica a saúde e o bem-estar dos alunos devido às características emocionais, culturais e de desenvolvimento. Atualmente, o Curso de Bacharelado em Enfermagem da Universidade Nacional de Córdoba, tem sido muito procurado, observando-se um aumento no número de alunos no ciclo seletivo; no qual se percebe que há a incorporação da imagem do sexo masculino à carreira. Isso gerou uma reestruturação do pensamento da enfermagem tanto nos profissionais como nos professores, nos pacientes e na equipe interdisciplinar. Objetivo: determinar quais são os aspectos motivacionais que influenciam na escolha da carreira de enfermagem dos ingressantes na Escola de Enfermagem da Universidade Nacional de Córdoba em 2019. Material e métodos: o estudo foi transversal de corte descritivo e comparativo. A população foi os recém-chegados à carreira, ano de 2019, (n = 364). Instrumento, questionário autoaplicável. Resultados: 32% dos alunos têm entre 21 e 40 anos. O sexo mais prevalente é o feminino com 71%. Nas dimensões intrínsecas, a necessidade de bem-estar é a maior escolha com 100%, a obtenção do diploma universitário foi de 67% nos homens e 80% nas mulheres. A autoeficácia e a autoestima correspondem a 100%, sendo que nas experiências pessoais e familiares a maior escolha é das mulheres com 79%, enquanto nos homens é de 75%. As dimensões extrínsecas a necessidade de melhorar e reconhecer a imagem do aluno correspondem a 76% nas mulheres e 33% nos homens, o incentivo ao trabalho corresponde a 100%, o incentivo econômico a 58% para os homens e 48% para as mulheres. Conclusão da Discussão: uma comparação entre os aspectos intrínsecos e extrínsecos da motivação, tanto em homens quanto em mulheres, a maioria dos alunos se sente identificada com várias subdimensões e indicadores, por serem participantes ativos do processo de formação. Marshall Revee (2010) afirma que: “Os incentivos sempre originam um comportamento e, ao fazê-lo, criam na pessoa uma expectativa de que uma consequência atrativa ou desagradável está chegando”.
