Sumario:Introduction professionals in the art of healing who work long hours, their health can begreatly affected, not only physically, but in different areas, such as emotional and spiritual. Theobjective was to determine the consequences that moonlighting produces on the health of thenurses of the Dr. Arturo Oñativia Hospital in the city of Salta, during the first quarter of 2019.Method the study was descriptive and transversal, the universe was constituted for nurses in amoonlighting situation, N = 40, the data source was primary. The technique implemented was asurvey in its form of self-administered and anonymous form. The instrument is a semi-structuredquestionnaire. Results socio-demographic characteristics, 55% were women, the prevailingage was 31 to 40 years in 37%; followed from 41 to 50 years by 30%; 25% between 21 and30 years old and 8% between 51 and 60 years old, married / or 42% marital status, single / or33%, in stable union 15% and divorced / or 10%. The level of training 80% were ProfessionalTechnicians and 20% Graduates. The dimensions emerged in the nutritional state that 73%did not carry out the recommended daily intakes and the remaining 27% did. The physicalactivity 55% carried out exercises and 45% did not. During rest and sleep, 73% did not sleepthe necessary hours between 7 and 8 hours; only 27% reached this recommendation. Recreationand leisure, 70% never developed and 22.5% rarely did. Conclusions multiple employment ormoonlighting potentially affects the physical and psychological health of nurses, even moreso when it is sustained over time, it will be necessary to delve into the reasons and long-termeffects on the health of this population of health professionals.
