The issue of this new volume of Alma Máter, the outbreak of cuir theory in language studies, proposes a recovery (coming up from another view, more extensive and disruptive) of the queries and concerns that cross our field of studies. The seven items that this new volume of Alma Máter displays open, in this regard, a place of critical and liminal reflection, within which one can think and re-think how we locate ourselves in our world.  Si bien la teoría queer cuenta con más de tres décadas en acción dentro del campo académico, la visibilización de las luchas sociales que tuvo lugar durante los últimos años y eventos tales como la presentación, a principios de 2023, de un proyecto de ley para prohibir la homosexualidad en Uganda hacen de ella un punto de vista ineludible a la hora de abordar la producción estudiantil. El eje de este nuevo número, irrupción de la teoría cuir en los estudios del lenguaje, propone recuperar las inquietudes e intereses que atraviesan nuestro campo desde una mirada otra, disruptiva y profunda. Los siete textos que forman parte de esta edición de Alma Máter abren, así, un espacio de reflexión crítica y liminal, dentro del cual pensar y repensar cómo nos situamos en el mundo.
