Our objective is to compare these two dictionaried (which were developed as academic projects within university institutions) since they constitute estranged alternatives to those dictionaries made by specialized groups. Besides, these projects take the speakers of the concerned language into account, as well as the usage they make of it, acknowledging their prominence when it comes to define and construct the world they inhabit. Finally yet importantly, this paper aims to make known these kind of initiatives, nationally promoted. It is important to highlight that both of these dictionaries are projects which opt for the emergence of new ways to understand and shape dictionaries. In that way, they also propose the continuous deconstruction of those dictionaries historically legitimated and installed in and by the society, as, for example, the Diccionario de la Real Academia Española (Dictionary of the Royal Spanish Academy), unquestioned reference point for the generality of Spanish Language. En el presente artículo procura caracterizar y analizar dos diccionarios construidos por hablantes: el Diccionario Latinoamericano de la Lengua Española y el Diccionario Sin Coronita, a partir de una perspectiva sociolingüística. El objetivo es comparar estos dos diccionarios surgidos como proyectos académicos en el seno de instituciones universitarias, en tanto se constituyen como alternativas distanciadas de aquellos realizados por grupos especializados. Además, estos proyectos consideran a los hablantes de la lengua y los usos que hacen de ella, reconociendo su protagonismo a la hora de definir y construir el mundo que habitan. Por último, pero no menos importante, se busca dar a conocer este tipo de propuestas impulsadas a nivel nacional. Es importante destacar que ambos son proyectos que apuestan al surgimiento de nuevas formas de entender y conformar el diccionario. Así también, plantean la deconstrucción continua de aquellos legitimados e instalados históricamente en y por la sociedad, como, en este caso, el Diccionario de la Real Academia Española, obra indiscutida de referencia de la lengua española general.
