Clinical signs and symptoms of the various forms of thyroid dysfunction (hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism) are analyzed and correlated. Clinical, laboratory and other procedures parameters are taken into account to specify early diagnosis and treatment. Conclusions and recommendations are drawn from the results obtained within the framework of the bibliography on the subject. Se revisa con criterio estadístico una muestra de pacientes, niños y jóvenes, con discapacidad mental y registros de disfunción tiroidea. Son analizados y correlacionados signos y síntomas clínicos de las diversas formas de disfunción tiroidea (hipotiroidismo e hipertiroidismo). Se tienen en cuenta los parámetros clínicos, de laboratorio y otros procedimientos para precisar el diagnóstico precoz y su tratamiento temprano. De los resultados obtenidos se extraen conclusiones y recomendaciones en el marco de la bibliografía sobre la temática. Uma amostra de pacientes, crianças e jovens, com deficiência mental e registros de disfunção tireoidiana é revisada com critérios estatísticos. Sinais e sintomas clínicos das diversas formas de disfunção tireoidiana (hipotireoidismo e hipertireoidismo) são analisados ​​e correlacionados. Parâmetros clínicos, laboratoriais e outros procedimentos são levados em consideração para especificar o diagnóstico e o tratamento precoce. Conclusões e recomendações são extraídas dos resultados obtidos no âmbito da bibliografia sobre o tema.
