In line with the most recent research, a new approach is also offered where inflammation becomes a response aimed at restoring homeostasis. One facet deals with excessive deviations of cellular processes, unable to be controlled by regulatory mechanisms, which has some, but not all the features of the classic response, namely para or metaflammation. On the other hand, the traditional inflammation, which, although it may be related to this phenomenon, is particularly linked to the response to pathogens, toxins, or other agents that cannot be regulated, but are equally life-threatening. El artículo hace referencia a los diversos mecanismos disparadores de la respuesta inflamatoria y las consecuencias que suelen darse cuando la noxa no se aclara con perpetuación del proceso; lo cual está ligado a la interconexión entre los grandes sistemas del organismo: inmune, endocrino y del sistema nervioso autónomo. En sintonía con las investigaciones más recientes, también se brinda un nuevo enfoque donde la inflamación viene a constituir una respuesta tendiente a restaurar la homeostasis. Allí se distingue un componente asociado con desviaciones excesivas de procesos celulares, incapaces de ser controlados por los mecanismos reguladores, el cual posee algunas, pero no todas las características de la respuesta clásica: para o metaflamación. Por otro lado, la inflamación tradicional que, si bien puede guardar relación con dicho fenómeno, se entronca particularmente con la respuesta a patógenos, toxinas u otros agentes, no regulables en sí, pero igualmente amenazantes. O artigo refere-se aos diversos mecanismos que desencadeiam a resposta inflamatória e as consequências que costumam ocorrer quando a agente nocivo não é esclarecida com a perpetuação do processo; que está ligado à interligação entre os principais sistemas do corpo: imunológico, endócrino e o sistema nervoso autônomo. Em consonância com as pesquisas mais recentes, uma nova abordagem também é oferecida, onde a inflamação se torna uma resposta destinada a restaurar a homeostase. Existe um componente associado a desvios excessivos dos processos celulares, incapazes de ser controlados por mecanismos reguladores, que possui algumas, mas não todas as características da resposta clássica: para ou metaflamação. Por outro lado, a inflamação tradicional, que, embora possa estar relacionada com este fenómeno, está particularmente ligada à resposta a agentes patogénicos, toxinas ou outros agentes, não ajustáveis em si, mas igualmente ameaçadores.
