The part of the report provides an assessment of present situation, provides statistical information and an alternative project to the officer, who was forming a great company to monopolize the supply of wine. Desde fines del siglo XIX, se elaboraron informes públicos y privados sobre la vitivinicultura mendocina que constituyen fuentes de inestimable valor para conocer su historia. En esta oportunidad, se recoge uno publicado a principios de 1917, cuando esta actividad había entrado en su quinto año de crisis. Es un informe no oficial, escrito por importantes personalidades pero también por otras menos conocidas. La parte del informe que presentamos aporta un diagnóstico de situación, ofrece información estadística y un proyecto alternativo al oficial, que consistía en la conformación de una gran empresa para monopolizar la oferta del vino.
