Sumario:In this paper, we search over specific archives referred to the Intendencia de Policia in the city of Buenos Aires during the revolutionary process from 1810 ‘till 1821.The Ordenes Superiores are an element of great interest to comprehend the institutional forms of the revolutionary period, that begin to display in order to discipline the subaltern groups in the context of building a new legitimate order. We try to explore its characteristics, its information, its possible uses and limitations.
