We try to explore its characteristics, its information, its possible uses and limitations. En el siguiente trabajo indagamos sobre fuentes específicas referidas a la Intendencia de Policía de la ciudad de Buenos Aires durante el proceso revolucionario que se sucede entre 1810 y 1821. Las Órdenes Superiores constituyen un elemento de gran interés para la comprensión de las formas institucionales del periodo revolucionario que comienzan a desplegarse con el fin de disciplinar a las clases subalternas en el marco de los intentos por construir un nuevo orden social legitimado.
