To facilitate access and maximize utilization, we propose to build a virtual map of its location. For this we consider necessary a theoretical discussion about the role of the historian facing the archives, to meaning and guide our work. Focusing our attention on the second half of the nineteenth century, years of establishment of the provincial government and the formation of the judiciary, try to locate all documents preserved by the Historical Archive of the Province of Buenos Aires, related in some way or another with theadministration of justice, distinguishing what belongs to the background judiciary and that relates but belongs to other funds.
