Problems, limits and scopes, originated in questions and issues to be resolved: structure, digitization, generation of metadata, accessibility to information, restrictions on publication and the criteria taken for the description of the sources. Arising out of the specific initiative of a research group, the intention has been to sum up the results of the explorations of a larger group of research groups that practice the so-called oral history, so as to join forces in the task of constructing a source and To public use. Thus, within the Center of Historical Studies (Faculty of Humanities, UNMdP) and with the institutional support of the house of studies, a file was organized that seeks to set up a reservoir that will gather the documentary collection produced by the investigations of the different groups Of research, so as to configure sources and form a record of the memory for ongoing and future research and promote consultation and knowledge. La presente comunicación pretende difundir y compartir la experiencia y los problemas y debates generados en torno al proceso de conformación de un archivo oral y visual. Problemas, límites y alcances, originados en interrogantes y cuestiones a resolver: estructura, digitalización, generación de metadatos, accesibilidad a la información, restricciones a la publicación y los criterios tomados para la descripción de las fuentes. Surgido por la iniciativa específica de un grupo de investigación, la intención ha sido sumar los resultados de las exploraciones de un conjunto mayor de grupos de investigación que practican la denominada historia oral, de manera tal de unir esfuerzos en la tarea de construir una fuente y brindarla al uso público. Así, en el seno del Centro de Estudios Históricos (Facultad de Humanidades, UNMdP) y con el apoyo institucional de la casa de estudios, se organizó un archivo que busca configurar un reservorio que reúna el acervo documental producido por las investigaciones de los distintos grupos de investigación, de forma tal de configurar fuentes y conformar un registro de la memoria para las investigaciones en curso y futuras y promover la consulta y conocimiento.
