El Museo Mitre cuenta, dentro de su archivo histórico, con el fondo personal del Gral. Bartolomé Mitre que alberga documentación valiosa sobre la Guerra del Paraguay. El presente artículo propone realizar un breve recorrido por el fondo documental Bartolomé Mitre con el objetivo de revelar la potencialidad que contiene el mismo para realizar investigaciones de los más diversos aspectos de este trágico evento del Sur americano a mediados del siglo XIX.
