He belonged to the artistic elite of Porfirio Díaz regime and kept his leadership in the cultural policy even during and before the Mexican Revolution. In 1923 he published his microtonal system named Sound 13 theory. He directed the National Conservatory of Music in Mexico for two periods (1913-14 and 1920-1923) and the National Symphony Orchestra, between 1918 and 1924. Carrillo is well known, among other things, for being a prolific writer and composer; he wrote numerous theoretical texts and also, he ventured into the design of new musical instruments. The purpose of this paper is to introduce researchers into the corpus of hispersonal archive, sheltered in the Julián Carrillo Center of the Ministry of Culture of San Luis Potosí, Mexico. Julián Carrillo (1875-1965) fue un compositor y teórico musical mexicano, figura imprescindible de la historia de la cultura del siglo XX en México. Perteneció a la élite artística del régimen de Porfirio Díaz y mantuvo su liderazgo en la política cultural durante la Revolución Mexicana y durante los gobiernos revolucionarios subsecuentes. En 1923 publicó su teoría microtonal llamada Sonido 13. Fue director del Conservatorio Nacional de Música en México durante dos periodos (1913-1914 y 1920-1923) y director de la Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional entre 1918 y 1924. Carrillo destaca, entre otras cosas, por escribir numerosos textos teóricos, incursionar en el diseño de instrumentos musicales y ser el primer músico microtonalista en México. Este artículo pretende introducir al investigador al corpus de su archivo personal, resguardado en el Centro Julián Carrillo de la Secretaría de Cultura del Estado de San Luis Potosí, México.
