| Sumario: | Carlos Pastore was a prominent Paraguayan jurist, historian, and politician who confronted the authoritarian governments of his country. He was exiled for more than thirty years in Montevideo (1942-1974). His activities in the uruguayan capital were divided between militancy and historical research. The aim of this article is to explore the potential of this intellectual archive –guarded by the Academia Paraguaya de la Historia– for the study of the political and intellectual networks of the Rio de la Plata region, between 1940 and 1970, through the implementation of the tools offered by the social networks analysis, and the use of personal correspondence. Using data processing software, we explore the possibilities for the historical analysis of Pastore’s “self-centered” networks. |
