The aim of this article is  to explore the potential of this intellectual archive –guarded by the Academia Paraguaya de la Historia– for  the study of the political and intellectual networks of the Rio de la Plata region, between 1940 and 1970,  through the implementation of the tools offered by the social networks analysis, and the use of personal  correspondence. Using data processing software, we explore the possibilities for the historical analysis of  Pastore’s “self-centered” networks. Carlos Pastore fue un destacado jurista, historiador y político paraguayo que enfrentó a los gobiernos  autoritarios de su país. Estuvo exiliado por más de treinta años en Montevideo (1942-1974). Sus actividades  en la capital uruguaya se dividieron entre la militancia y la investigación histórica. El objetivo de este artículo  es explorar el potencial del archivo del citado intelectual -custodiado por la Academia Paraguaya de la  Historia- para el estudio de las redes políticas e intelectuales rioplatenses entre 1940 y 1970, a través de la  implementación de las herramientas ofrecidas por el social networks analysis y el uso la correspondencia  personal. Utilizando softwares de procesamientos de datos, se exploran las posibilidades para el análisis  histórico de las redes “egocentradas” en la figura de Pastore.
