In that time Argentina was invol­ved by violence and repression, and the young groups of the society was looking forward to a more ba­lanced comunity with more social justice, following the ideas coming from the Catholic church after the Vatican II. For these reasons we have considerd the growing po­liyical influences those groups of young students received, and that some of them moved to political militancy. We have also analized the University management, since the changes came from Medellin to the complete dissolution of the students organizations when they adopted radical positions against the Catholic Social Doctrine. El objetivo de este trabajo es re­cuperar el protagonismo que tu­vieron los estudiantes de la UCC a través de sus asociaciones en el final de los ’60. En una Argentina inmersa en un clima de represión y violencia, la juventud universita­ria buscó construir un sistema más justo, sintiéndose intérprete de la renovación que se produjo en la iglesia luego del Vaticano II. Para ello consideramos las influencias que recibieron, la politización de sus miembros y el paso de algunos a la militancia política. También el trayecto recorrido por la gestión universitaria, desde el apoyo al cambio marcado en Medellín a la disolución de las organizaciones es­tudiantiles, cuando éstas se orien­taron a posturas ajenas a la Doctri­na Social de la Iglesia.
