Legitimize themselves as indispensable legal intervention operators in specific and differentiated methods of dispute resolution. Negotiation is the quintessential method to be mastered by a lawyer. The integrative model being a mixed variable that incorporates three types of negotiation - collaborative, distributive, transactional -, understanding that every exchange has competitive as well as cooperative components, for the same reason that there are interests to share collaboratively and interests to distribute that are awarded or distributed through transactional distribution. Los abogados que actúen en procesos de  autocomposición, necesitan acreditar actitud y aptitud para el dominio estratégico en diversas posibilidades de solución y manejo del conflicto. Legitimarse como operadores jurídicos de intervención indispensables en métodos específicos y diferenciados de solución de controversias. La negociación es el método por excelencia a dominar por un abogado. Siendo el modelo integrativo una variable mixta que incorpora tres de tipos de negociación –colaborativa, distributiva, transaccional-, entendiéndose que todo intercambio tiene componentes competitivos tanto como cooperativos, por lo mismo que existen intereses para compartir colaborativamente e intereses para distribuir que se adjudican o distribuyen a través del reparto transaccional.
