Sumario:This article presents a reflection on the place of libraries as memory institutions in the current context of genocide that the world is going through, and the possibilities that they have to contribute to ideals of justice and dignity. The topic is initially introduced in relation to the current social context and the various phenomena that distance societies from democratic ideals. Next, it reflects on the place of libraries in scenarios of violence and social uncertainty, which results in their possibilities and responsibilities when addressing war and genocides through their fundamental materials and social functions, for which a brief approach to some library systems in Colombia is made, focusi ng the search on materials that address the “Israel-Palestine conflict.” Finally, some informative resources are shared for work around the themes developed, from a particular approach to the Palestinian cause.
