The topic is initially introduced in relation to the current social context and the various phenomena that distance societies from democratic ideals. Next, it reflects on the place of libraries in scenarios of violence and social uncertainty, which results in their possibilities and responsibilities when addressing war and genocides through their fundamental materials and social functions, for which a brief approach to some library systems in Colombia is made, focusi ng the search on materials that address the “Israel-Palestine conflict.” Finally, some informative resources are shared for work around the themes developed, from a particular approach to the Palestinian cause. Este artículo presenta una reflexión acerca del lugar de las bibliotecas como instituciones de la memoria en el contexto actual de genocidio por el cual está pasando el mundo, y las posibilidades que estas tienen de aportar a ideales de justicia y dignidad. Se introduce inicialmente el tema en relación con el contexto social actual y los diversos fenómenos que alejan a las sociedades de ideales democráticos. Seguidamente reflexiona sobre el lugar de las bibliotecas en escenarios de violencia e incertidumbre social, lo cual deriva en sus posibilidades y responsabilidades ante el abordaje de la guerra y los genocidios a través de sus materiales fundamentales y funciones sociales, para lo cual se realiza una breve aproximación a algunos sistemas bibliotecarios de Colombia enfocando la búsqueda en materiales que aborden el “conflicto Israel-Palestina”. Finalmente, se comparten algunos recursos informativos para el trabajo alrededor de las temáticas desarrolladas, desde un particular acercamiento a la causa palestina. Colectivo Basta Biblioclastia.
