| Sumario: | The aging of the population presents itself as a challenge for most Western societies. The increase in the expectation and quality of life of people offers new learning opportunities. These opportunities can be developed in multiple contexts, including museums and other non-formal education spaces. The article presents an experience carried out within two cognitive stimulation workshops proposed by the National University of Río Cuarto, Córdoba, Argentina. Theoretical perspectives on neurosciences, the elderly and museums are shown. A particular proposal and the senses constructed by a group of older people about their conceptions, previous experiences and possible proposals in museums are commented, as well as their experiences in the workshop. Positive evaluations are highlighted regarding the museum space and the possibilities of generating initiatives according to the needs of this group. Finally, final considerations are shared in terms of challenges and new initiatives. |
