description The results obtained to date of pottery analysis from post-hispanic sites, belonging tothe southern Pozuelos basin and the Santa Catalina area, are presented here. We focus onthe reconstruction of manufacture operational chains. Since there are no colonial documentson this technology, the study of colonial ceramic materials, some of them recovered in sitesrelated to mining activities, allow us to characterize them, including shapes and possiblesources. The methodology was guided by the steps of the operational chain, in order torecognize recurrences in manufacture practices that allow us to approach technologicaltraditions. We included pottery fragments from excavations and surface recollections,as well as some complete vessels from Quai Branly museum. Amongst these analysedmaterials, some exhibit morphologies, pastes and decorative styles not registered forprevious moments. They appear in low frequencies and are probably non local. However, most of the vessels are technologically similar to those locally produced in prehispanic times.
