description In December 2008, during the construction of ZenCity complex in Puerto Madero, Buenos Aires, Argentina, the remains of a shipwreck were unearthed. An interdisciplinary team, in coexistence with the construction, carried out the rescue of it. Adjacent to the structure of the ship a variety of objects were discovered belonging to the cargo of the vessel. There were another set of objects that did not belong to the initial context, but formed the final archaeological context. Some of these items consisted of a heterogeneous ceramic assemblage, called local pottery, which we are working with. It is through the observation of the processes of formation and with a look that covers not only the place itself, but its surroundings, how we can analyze the occurrence of these other components that were added to the original context.
