Analyzing its limits and possibilities for the case study, it is postulated as the main axis that the micro-region cannot be analytically defined, in its entirety, as a nodal or internodal space, but that its characterization and study in these terms requires attention to various diachronic and synchronic population dynamics for the same space. As a solution, to the application of the conceptual categories of node/internode in the analysis of archaeological materialities, it is added the criterion of the logics of dwelling the landscape of the different groups that occupied and occupy the micro-region. In turn, it is understood that the nodal and internodal categories are not adequate to study the dynamics of the pastoralist logic; instead, it is considered more pertinent to approach the landscape of these societies in terms of activity spaces. Ultimately, it is the particularities of each of the groups in question that call for the analytical definition of a space as nodal or internodal and what defines the usefulness of such a distinction. El presente trabajo aborda las dinámicas de las poblaciones prehispánicas, coloniales y actuales del paisaje de Cusi Cusi (porción de la Cuenca Superior del Río Grande de San Juan, Jujuy, Argentina), desde la perspectiva de la arqueología internodal. Analizando sus límites y posibilidades para el caso de estudio, se postula como eje principal que la microrregión no puede ser definida analíticamente, en su totalidad, como espacio nodal o internodal, sino que su caracterización y estudio en dichos términos requiere atender a variadas dinámicas poblacionales diacrónicas y sincrónicas para el mismo espacio. Como solución, a la aplicación de las categorías conceptuales de nodo/internodo en el análisis de las materialidades arqueológicas, se suma el criterio de las lógicas de habitar el paisaje de los distintos grupos que ocuparon y ocupan la microrregión. A su vez, se entiende que las categorías nodal e internodal no son adecuadas para estudiar las dinámicas de la lógica pastoril, en cambio; se considera más pertinente abordar el paisaje de estas sociedades en términos de espacios de actividades.
