description This paper proposes a series of spatial models of archaeological nodes and internodes in the period 2300-1100 BP for the Ancoquija-Calchaquí orographic systems and their respective piedmonts in northwestern Argentina. Based on an exhaustive bibliographic review, the available data were evaluated according to two spatial models: the first one considered feasible scales of interaction between sites based on five temporal blocks generated by recalibrating all the radiocarbon dates available for the region with OxCal 4.3-ShCal 20; and the second one evaluated the topography that would allow linking the different archaeological contexts more easily. Based on the analyses carried out, a series of hypotheses are put forward in relation to the interaction between different modeled nodes and internodes and their variation throughout the first millennium. Finally, the results of the first internodal surveys carried out in different sectors of the area are synthesized according to the models made.
