description In this work we observe the use, diffusion and senses built on the Qom language and the written word through the social media of a “rap originario” band of young Qom from Greater Buenos Aires. We are interested in analyzing how their linguistic repertoire is put into play and how this use contributes to the visibility of the indigenous language and challenges the pre-eminence of the monolingual and the hegemonic official languages. Likewise, we explore this speech performed for greater audiences considering how young people take ownership of global trends and link them with local ones in innovative ways.
