description Propomos como objetivo apresentar e descrever algumas das modalidades de manifestação da morte e da morto no nordeste da Argentina e no sul do Paraguai. Para isso, abstraímos do corpus da investigação as referências sobre a presença da morte e dos mortos em forma de vento, sopro ou apito; distinção entre morte de adultos e morte de crianças. Nós nos concentramos em anúncios de morte, no ritual de vigília e em cemitérios / enterros. Para a pesquisa, o método etnográfico foi priorizado, aplicando entrevistas e observações em profundidade em diferentes contextos. O trabalho de campo foi realizado entre 2010 e 2108 entre a população de credo católico. Podemos dar conta dos significados diferenciais que esses movimentos do ar adquirem entre os interlocutores em estudo e como os espaços de significado são gerados e reconsiderando parte da memória fúnebre dos povos.
