description ResumenEl Departamento General Roca, en la provincia de Córdoba, es una de las divisiones administrativas territoriales donde hasta el presente no se han realizado investigaciones arqueológicas. En este artículo se exponen los resultados obtenidos en una secuencia de prospecciones realizadas dentro de la microrregión El Cuero y en el análisis complementario de una colección particular. El Cuero se encuentra ubicado en el ecotono entre el monte xerófilo y la estepa pampeana, en el norte de La Pampa Seca. Los resultados confirman la presencia de grupos cazadores-recolectores del Holoceno Tardío en la región. Por las características de las fuentes líticas utilizadas y el tipo de decoración cerámica, se puede postular que estos grupos mantenían contacto con los de las Sierras Centrales, ya sea incluyéndolos en su circuito anual de movilidad o por vía de sistemas de alianza o intercambio.Palabras claves: Arqueología - Pampa Seca - Micro-región El Cuero - Holoceno Tardío AbstractGeneral Roca Department, in the province of Córdoba, is one of the administrative territorial divisions where up to the present archaeological investigations have not been realized. In this article, we expose the results obtained through both a series of explorations realized inside the El Cuero micro - region and the complementary analysis of a private collection. El Cuero is located in the ecotono between the xerophilous mount and the steppe pampeana, in the north of The Dry Pampas. The results confirm the presence of Late Holocene hunters – gatherers groups in the region. According to the characteristics of the lithic sources used and the kind of ceramic decoration, it is possible to propose that these groups were in contact with those of the Central Saws, whether it is including them in their annual mobility circuit or through an alliance or exchange system.Key Words: Archaeology -Pampa Seca - Micro-region El Cuero - Late Holocene
