description ResumenEn los conflictos por tierras judicializados, los indígenas mapuche-tehuelche de la provincia de Chubut tienen que probar su preexistencia a la conformación del estado nación, pero deben hacerlo desde definiciones de territorialidad impuestas por los dispositivos del poder. En los últimos años, desde los campos académicos y de activismo indígena se han comenzado a cuestionar estas nociones hegemónicas. El presente trabajo retoma estas disputas por la definición de conceptos claves, centralmente las ideas de «permanencia en el lugar» y de «continuidad del linaje», con el fin de ampliar los marcos de interpretación desde los cuales pensamos las prácticas y las ideologías en torno a la territorialidad. Palabras claves: territorialidad - preexistencia - linaje - mapuche - tehuelche AbstractMapuche-Tehuelche indigenous Peoples in the Province of Chubut (Argentina) have to demonstrate their pre-existence to the national state in different judicial processes involving land possession. Significantly they have to do it following definitions of territoriality imposed by power mechanisms. In recent years, these hegemonic definitions have been questioned by scholar and indigenous militancy discourses. This article analyzes two key concepts around this debate: «the persistence in the place» and «the lineage’s continuity», with the aim to extend frames of interpretation from which we think practices and ideologies related to territoriality. Key words: territoriality - pre-existence - lineage - Mapuche - Tehuelche
