description In this work the results of research conducted on the lithic technology of site La Cuestecilla located between the towns of Pituil and Chañarmuyo in the province of La Rioja, Argentine Northwest are presented. Through morphological analysis and the development of technological sequence of production this work contributes to the knowledge of the societies that inhabited the site between periods Middle or Regional Integration and Late or Regional Developments. We understand technology as a cultural and dynamic phenomenon in which procedures, knowledge, techniques, choices and decisions of social actors are evident. The artefactual assembly meets the requirements of daily practices and use mainly local raw materials.
