description   Persistent spaces (sensu Schlanger 1992) considered in this work (ironed La Puntilla, Las Salinas River 1 and 2) are located in the Santa Maria Valley. These are characterized by a surface recording with different histories occupational evidence, overlap thereof, absence, so far datable organic materials by conventional techniques, presence of lacquer artifacts affecting rocks, rock art and various structures and evidence of implementation of different moments in the rock art and architectural claims processes and artefactual. Based on this problem the first records were made and analysis of the rock art conceiving closely with the site, which would allow us to connect them with the rest of the activities that define the functionality of these spaces occupied. Whereas differently organized societies generate different types of landscape and visual strategies depending on settlement patterns and their relationship ecological, economic and social environment, and address the difficulty of interpretation of this type of surface archaeological record, visibility analyzes were performed using GIS tools, plus the rock art, we would approach the social context in which they were used.   Persistent spaces (sensu Schlanger 1992) considered in this work (ironed La Puntilla, Las Salinas River 1 and 2) are located in the Santa Maria Valley.
