The dentist as a health professional, in order to comprehensively respond to social needs, must have not only "know-know" and "know to do", but also "know-be" in professional performance. University education contributes to moral development in which professional practice is consolidated.The objective of this work was to know the perception of students, on the ethical implications of dental clinical practices during their undergraduate training.From a qualitative approach, we inquired about situations or lived experiences by students during the formative path of dental clinical practice, in which conflicts or ethical dilemmas and related aspects have arisen.In-depth interviews were conducted with students who, during 2018, were studying the professional cycle of the UNC dentistry career.The analysis of the information carried out by the constant comparative method, showed that during some clinical practices situations of ethical implication arise, which are frequently resolved, without theoretical or methodological support, in a fortuitous way, prioritizing the academic requirement.Teacher training in the area of bioethics and the curricular organization centered on the person, could strengthen an comprehensively and reflective formation, which includes skills to make decisions based on ethical knowledge.
