description This article focuses its investigation on the chronicle of Pedro Lemebel, The proposed reading begins by analyzing the integration of camp aesthetics in the writing of Lemebel, focusing on the role aquired by the parody of cinematographic melodrama as a deconstructive strategy of to the impositions of the genre. Our reading seeks to demonstrate the relationship between such operation of politicization of the body that we observe in his texts, and the denounce of a governmental legal framework that uses heterosexual norms as a device to construct forms of citizenship and a model of democracy that are sustained by the exclusion and the entrenchment of whiteness as a symbol of progress. His chronicles harangue for another model of relationship in dialogue with the horizon of post-colonial debates, using as an image, the irreverent recycling brought about by marginal bodies and valuing heterogeneity and mesticidad as something unique to this subcontinent.
