Internet video production linked to the recent wave of protests post Arab Spring was based on audiovisual production and distribution models that offer an alternative to comercial models. These means of production and distribution –collective or anonymous authorship, use of copyleft licenses, free online distribution– although not new, have undergone a massive explosion in recent years. These characteristics alongside with the videos´ aesthetics –collage, appropriation of material– are essential constituents of their political commitment. |
