description This paper approaches Henry Hyndman´s trajectory, an English politician of radical and Tory origin, whom later would convert to socialism and found the Social Democratic Federation (SDF), one of the British socialist party affiliated to the Second International. In this case study, it is intended to give an account of the evolution of his positions regarding India, which are analyzed in the framework of his militancy and political activity. It is proposed a type of analysis that reconstructs its militancy and political trajectory within the framework of a diverse set of ideas about India that circulated in Great Britain.
