This work deals with the productive power of folklore as a regulatory practice of the identity of social groups within the framework of the formation of the nations in the project of Modernity. According to this purpose, the analysis is oriented to compare the construction process of national identities in Centennial Argentina period and in the current context of pluralism and diversity policies. It focuses on folk genres power in identity constructions and it is concluded that the logics of identity involved into the official policies are anchored in modern criteria which obstruct the knowledge and recognition of otherness. The analysis combines empirical research and theoretical reflection. |
