description In this paper, we study the employment and occupational trajectories of Carmen and Hermes, both were born in Perú, and immigrated to Córdoba in the early twenty-first century. At present, these agents are articulated in a labor intended for decoration and entertainment children's birthday parties. From an ethnographic perspective, we analyze: the particular migratory experience of each; the maintenance of ties with Perú and Córdoba; the role played by certain women -mothers, sisters and aunts- as links in a chain in the processes of family reunification; their occupations in their cities of origin linking them with their current jobs; body of knowledge that move to position against his countrymen as embodying " Peruvian style " about holding children's birthday parties. At the same time, the text seeks to explain the process by which migrant's get become both “their own bosses” and the importance of social networks does to start and expand their businesses associated with festive practices.
