The addition of 1-naphtalenacetic acid ( NAA) and kinetin, hoht in concentration of 1 ppm to the Murashige -Skoog agar medium increased the porcentaje of plants obtained with cv. Colorada. Most of meristematic tips deve'oped into complets plants in 60 -90 days. Se obtuvieron plantas libres de virus de los cultivares Colorada y Blanca Brasilera a través del cultivo de meristemas apicales caulinares. Sólo el 1,8% del total de meristemas empleados originó plantas sanas. Del cv. Blanca Brasilera se obtuvo un 13 ,3 % de plantas totales y un 8 ,5 y de plantas sanas . A partir de las plantas sanas de ambos cultivares se planificó la producción de plantines libres de virus para entregar al gran cultivo. El empleo de 1 ppm de ácido naftal en acético y cinrtina en el medio Murashige-Skoog incrementó el porcentaje de plantas obtenidas en el ev. Colorada. En la mayoría de los casos el tiempo transcurrió en la obtención de plantas a partir de meristemas apicales y fue de 60 a 90 días.
