These institutions were all over de city and in many cases their leaders belong to the popular sectors, besides the militants became in great number from the lower classes. Because of the number of people they attracted and the capacity to organize them, the power they constructed was very important for the party in the whole province, not just in the city. Therefore their decisions or protests were taken seriously into account.The main goals they had in mind were to avoid the triumph of the catholic/conservative line inside the party and to defend and consolidate the ‘yrigoyenismo’. En este trabajo analizo la influencia de los comités seccionales (CS) de la Unión Cívica Radical de la ciudad de Córdoba en el interior de la agrupación y sus efectos en el gobierno radical del periodo. Los CS estaban dispersos por toda la ciudad y en varios casos sus dirigentes provenían de los sectores populares, quienes constituían además, el grueso de la militancia. El número de personas que concentraban y la capacidad de su organización implicó el desarrollo de un poder incuestionable en las filas partidarias. Por esa razón, las opiniones/reacciones de los CS eran tomadas muy en cuenta por la dirigencia superior. Los dos objetivos principales que orientaron su accionar fueron su oposición a que los católicos conservadores se convirtieran en la corriente hegemónica del partido y su identificación con el yrigoyenismo al que contribuyeron a instalar como el grupo interno más importante de la UCR provincial, a mediados de la década del veinte.   Facultad de Filosofía y Humanidades.
