It requires consideration of whether it is the same or different element in cases of SE paradigm and those that include the brand or mark various syntactic processes. Some of the questions that arise are, among others, which would provide the semantic nuance morpheme to sentence meaning, if absorbed arguments, thematic roles and semantic features with consequences in syntax and in what circumstances, and whether or no impact on aspectual values of the event represented by the predicate and what his role.We seek, in order to determine the relationship of SE with aspectuality, reflexivity and the semantic notion of cause, and appreciate their role in processes and destransitivacion desagentivacion through contrasts in alternating constructions. En el marco teórico de la gramática generativa actual, y dado que el clítico SE ha sido considerado un operador aspectual, revisamos diversos estudios representativos sobre las construcciones con SE del español, e intentamos sistematizar las funciones semánticas y sintácticas del clítico. Se impone la consideración de si se trata del mismo o de distinto elemento en los casos de SE paradigmático y en aquellos en que es marca o huella de diversos procesos sintácticos. Algunas de las preguntas que se suscitan son, entre otras, qué matiz semántico aportaría el morfema SE al significado oracional, si absorbe argumentos, papeles temáticos o rasgos semánticos con consecuencias en la sintaxis y  en qué casos, y si tiene o no incidencia en los valores aspectuales del evento representado por el predicado y cuál sería su rol.Procuramos, en fin, determinar la relación de SE con la aspectualidad, la reflexividad y la noción semántica de Causa, y valorar su función en procesos de desagentivación y destransitivación, a través de contrastes en  construcciones alternantes.
