The Internet Dependence, Mobile Phone Dependence, Porteus Maze and Stroop Tests were administered. Correlation analysis revealed a significant negative association between adolescents’ interference control capacity and their frequency of Internet use (r =.24, p < 0.05). Excessive use of information and communication technologies and their potential impact on self-regulatory processes are discussed. La presente investigación se propuso identificar la frecuencia de uso de celular e Internet en adolescentes argentinos, y analizar su relación con las funciones ejecutivas de planificación y control de la interferencia de los jóvenes. La muestra estuvo conformada por 90 adolescentes de 13 a 15 años de edad (M = 14 años, DE = 0.82), siendo el 53% mujeres. Se emplearon los siguientes instrumentos: Test de Dependencia de Internet; Test de Dependencia del Móvil; Test Laberintos de Porteus y Test Stroop. A través del análisis correlacional, se observó una asociación negativa significativa entre la capacidad de control de la interferencia de los adolescentes y la frecuencia de uso de Internet (r = -.24, p < 0.05). Se discute el uso excesivo de las Tecnologías de la Información y Comunicación y sus posibles consecuencias en procesos de autorregulación.
