After this time, this paper aims to analyse the economic convergence among Mercosur member countries from the moment they join the integration area, in addition to those classified as associated countries. The analysis is conducted in both nominal and real terms. The convergence review is approached using the specific methodology commonly used within the international economics to measure situations in which convergence implies a progressive approximation of the levels of less advanced to more developed economies. Han pasado más de dos décadas desde que en 1991se firmó el Tratado de Asunción por el que se creó elMercosur. Este acuerdo de integración se ha idoconvirtiendo en la referencia de regionalismoabierto en América Latina. Transcurrido estetiempo, este trabajo persigue el análisis de la convergencia económica entre los países miembrosdel Mercosur desde el momento de su incorporaciónal área de integración, además de los clasificados como países asociados.El análisis se realiza tanto en términos nominalescomo reales. Para abordar el examen de convergencia se emplea la metodología específicaque, de manera habitual, se utiliza dentro de la economía internacional para medir situaciones enlas que la convergencia implica el progresivo acercamiento de los niveles de las economías menosavanzadas a las más desarrolladas.  Facultad de Ciencias Económicas.
