An ex – post facto simple prospective design was used and three groups were identified in regard to alcohol drinking patterns (DP): light drinkers, moderate drinkers, and Binge drinkers. No differences were found in neuropsychological performance in EF tasks related to DP. Results of the present work highlights relevant issues that need to be considered in future works, like the importance of a better assessment of DP among Argentinean adolescents and the implementation of neuropsychological tasks developed to assess emotional aspects of EF, such us the decision making tasks. El presente trabajo tuvo como objetivo principal evaluar el desempeño en pruebas neuropsicológicas que evalúan las Funciones Ejecutivas (FE) en adolescentes con diferentes patrones de consumo de alcohol. Se planteó un diseño Ex Post Facto Prospectivo Simple a través del cual se identificaron tres grupos en función del patrón de consumo (PC) de alcohol: Consumidores Leves, Consumidores Moderados, y Consumidores Binge. No se encontraron diferencias significativas entre los diferentes PC y el desempeño en pruebas neuropsicológicas que evalúan las FE. Los resultados de la presente investigación ponen de manifiesto algunas consideraciones para futuros estudios, tales como avanzar en una mejor determinación de los PC de alcohol en población adolescente local y utilizar pruebas que evalúen mayoritariamente aspectos emocionales de las FE, como por ejemplo pruebas de Toma de Decisiones.
