We think of the archive as a sedimented construction; therefore, it is a historical one. The in situ fieldwork and interdisciplinary research in Argentina allows registering doings and sayings typical of a geography of the global South. We compiled information from the first nineteenth-century records in a colonial archaeology until the documentation that we carry out, in layers of diverse ethnographic meanings and situations. To understand and recreate the occupational history of the site and the conservation of the monument, we analyze the link between transdisciplinary work and archive, which we consider as an "iconotext/palimpsest" constantly changed. Este artículo pretende acercar las prácticas historiográficas implicadas en la configuración de un “archivo” plausible de ser consultado más allá de su situacionalidad, en el marco del Proyecto de la misión argentina que estudia y preserva la tumba de Amenmose (TT318) en Luxor, Egipto. Pensamos el archivo como una construcción sedimentada, por tanto, es histórico. El trabajo de campo in situ y el desarrollo de la investigación interdisciplinaria en Argentina, nos sitúa en un hacer y decir propio de una geografía del Sur global y, desde aquí demanda la compilación de información desde los primeros registros decimonónicos, partícipes de una arqueología colonial, hasta la documentación que realizamos, en “capas” de significaciones y situaciones etnográficas diversas. Para conocer y reconstruir la historia ocupacional del sitio y la conservación del monumento, proponemos una reflexión sobre los vínculos del trabajo transdisciplinario con el archivo, el cual consideramos como un “iconotexto/palimpsesto” en constante transformación.
