The case of Cape Verdeans and their descendants in Argentina allows us to investigate the strategies of Cape Verdean immigrants in relation to the language policies of the host society in dialogue with Cape Verdean language policies. The use of the Cape Verdean language takes on a symbolic meaning in the shaping of Cape Verdeanness in the Cape Verdean diaspora. En este artículo se presenta una mirada acerca de las acciones glotopolíticas de algunas asociaciones de caboverdianos de Buenos Aires. A través del relevamiento de las redes sociales de las asociaciones mencionadas, entrevistas y notas de campo, se analizan las acciones tendientes a promover la lengua caboverdiana en Argentina desarrolladas en los últimos años. El caso de los caboverdianos y sus descendientes en Argentina permite indagar las estrategias de los inmigrantes caboverdianos frente a las políticas lingüísticas de la sociedad receptora en diálogo con las políticas lingüísticas de Cabo Verde. El uso de la lengua caboverdiana cobra un sentido simbólico en la conformación de la caboverdianidad en la diáspora caboverdiana.
