In this study we show that developing a critical thinking about the ways other people live and highlighting the needs and requirements of suffering people, it might conserve and increase the level of empathy. Esta investigación propone al séptimo arte como una nueva forma pedagógica en la carrera de medicina para preservar la empatía, en función del confinamiento ocasionado por el SARS-CoV2/COVID-19. Estudio observacional, cualitativo para fundamentar conceptos referentes a la empatía en un grupo de estudiantes de medicina del primer grado, a través del análisis de documentales. En este estudio observamos que desarrollando un pensamiento crítico acerca de las condiciones en que otras personas viven, y resaltando lo que los otros requieren, los estudiantes podrían preservar e incrementar su empatía.
