I10-R10-article-359312021-12-07T23:27:02Z Simpson Study Simpson Study Battisti, Omar Lacan Simpson Impossible there is not sexual relation Lacan Simpson imposible no hay relación sexual This article attempts to highlight how The Simpsons are a particular example of American culture, which highlights a different relationship of Americans with culture. Homer and Marge are not an ideal couple, a role model to follow, but they stage a whole range of failures. However, they don’t stop being together. This makes them above all a man and a woman struggling with their impossible relationship. It’s precisely in this centrality of the impossible that a different relationship with culture can be found. Something that differs radically from everything that worries the gender studies. I propose to consider The Simpsons as a work that does not cultivate the utopia of sexual relation.
