In this text we will analyze a fictional love story set in São Paulo in the 1920s, Sem Dó, by Luli Penna, published by Todavia, in 2017. With the changes in Brazilian politics and the resurgence of an extremely conservative and authoritarian thinking, inequality, violence, intolerance and prejudices of class, gender, race and ethnicity have increased. In contrast, concern for those excluded from history and for the recording of their memories eventually contaminated the pages of comics. Luli Penna uses references from movie posters, fashion magazines, newspaper ads and very few dialogues aligned the universe of work and household chores as a collection of memories. The characters face social conventions, normative behaviors, beauty standards, markers of class distinction. These graphic novels break away from a dichotomous and deterministic view, reinterpreting contexts, showing the contradictions of each time period, the tactics and strategies of negotiation, of resistance. O objetivo desse texto é refletir sobre as relações entre história, memória e subjetividades tramadas nos quadrinhos contemporâneos brasileiros feitos por mulheres, considerando a maneira como as desenhistas se voltam para o passado, mergulham em arquivos, acervos, documentos, investigando a cultura visual/material para criar outros olhares sobre as experiências vividas por homens e mulheres comuns, para representar personagens que foram apagados ou marginalizados, produzindo outras narrativas sobre os fatos. Para isso, será analisada a Sem dó, uma história de amor fictícia, ambientada em São Paulo nos anos 1920, escrita e desenhada por Luli Penna, publicada pela editora Todavia, em 2017. Com as mudanças na política brasileira e o ressurgimento de um pensamento extremamente conservador e autoritário, aumentaram a desigualdade, a violência, a intolerância e os preconceitos de classe, gênero, raça e etnia. Em contrapartida, a preocupação com os excluídos da história e com o registro de suas memórias acabou contaminando as páginas dos quadrinhos. Luli Penna usa referências de cartazes de cinema, revistas de moda, anúncios de jornais, programas de rádio e pouquíssimos diálogos para alinhavar o universo do trabalho e dos afazeres domésticos como uma coleção de memórias. As personagens enfrentam convenções sociais, comportamentos normativos, padrões de beleza, marcadores de distinção de classe. Essa novela gráfica foge de uma visão dicotômica e determinista, reinterpretando contextos, mostrando as contradições de cada época, as táticas cotidianas de negociação e de resistência.
